How To Achieve Inclusion And Belonging In Communities

Have you ever joined a community you were interested in and always felt like you were standing outside waiting to be let in...even though you were already in? I have. It's a terrible feeling. And I couldn't figure out why a community - something that was meant to help me find my people - felt so exclusive? And then I realized that inclusion and belonging weren't baked into the community culture from the start. I am intentional about building this key element into my community strategy so that community members feel welcome and heard - and you should too! During this chat, I hope to help you: -Gain a clear understanding of what it means to be intentional about inclusion and belonging -Understand why a "me" mentality makes it difficult to cultivate belonging -Get tips on how inclusion and belonging show up in communities -Use your communities shared values to bring inclusion and belonging to your communities with every interaction
