A real community management problem!

Question

Trying to come up with alternatives to, “Thanks for being a fan,” can be difficult!  Any suggestions for a good alternative?

Maybe thank them more for the exact thing(s) they did rather than giving it a name. e.g., "thanks for helping out Joe the other day, your answer was spot-on" or "wow, thanks for starting such an interesting discussion yesterday---it's really generated a ton of great conversation!"
