Community Health!

Question

Shouldn't community health always be a priority? After all, this will yield almost every outcome that you seek from a community.  What are the best practices you follow to measure community health?

For me, it is a bit disturbing that measuring community health is not something standardized - it varies from community to community and most often we tend to pick up on what seems like the best practices! but we need to think beyond that.
