What . . . ? they do not even understand the difference between Audience and Community?
Do you also find community Managers who are not able to differentiate between audience and community?
Recently I thought of helping a set of 30 people who are struggling to build their online communities
by teaching a week long program on fundamentals.
To my surprise
- More than 70 percent think, they can build a community in less than 6 hours a week
- Almost every Freelancer or Business owner want to build audience but call it community
- I found many more basics were kind of missing not only from their RAM but also from their hard disk
So far I have got applications from 27 community managers or startup owners, and I cannot even accept 7 out of them
