True josh. In the above, The ability to earn badges is one of the most common gamification elements. In fact, the ability to earn badges is one of the most simple, yet effective, gamification elements that there is.
Badges, such as the ones above, assign a visual representation to a level that has been achieved by a member. Since badges are tied to accomplishments or activity levels, they are something a user aspires to attain and has to earn.
Hey folks, found this super interesting document written by Brian Odblinger and two others, a document about starting your community from scratch and launching it.
Came across this read -
Having a platform for your brand doesn’t mean you have a community. You only have the foundation, a community-building tool. After that the real work starts! It takes a lot of time, care, and relationship building to make a real community happen with the help of a great platform of course.
But I wonder how would you divide the importance between a community platform/ tool and a community manager that runs it!

I agree to this. Being a community manager i want to be partial too Asad M :D, but without the tool i guess the purpose of a true community manager is lost. So in the end it's both equally important
We all have super heroes/ super users for our community!
But that makes me wonder who or what are the villains to an online community? 🧐
Would like to hear your thoughts on this!

Harsh Jain very beautifully put across. This is what we all should preach. In the end it all comes down to what value are you adding to your members? The VALUE ADD is the most important thing for any community, cant stress on this enough 😀😀
What are your thoughts on this guys? Any suggestions are most welcome!
